Pros

Great mission, great people. Good compensation. Great resources to grow your skills within the Red Cross.

Cons

Hard to feel connected to other departments with how large the organization is.

Pros

It’s a global company, and the people who work there are hard workers. The LA Region is definitely the most progressive Region in the American Red Cross, lots of opportunity to innovate and try new things.

Cons

It’s a large non-profit; meaning it has a LOT of inefficiencies and a lot of “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it” to their basically broken, if not fully outdated, systems. The pay and benefits for the amount of work and commenting that is expected is not comparable.
