Pros

Only the few good people you work along side with.

Cons

Ever since Blackstone took over it’s only about cutting costs across payroll to save shareholders and owners millions of dollars. They cut every maintenance manager and General Manager from the company a couple days ago. Guess where all of their job responsibilities go to? Everyone below them. So your AGM’s, LM’s, your lead techs and techs are all now doing your managers job responsibilities and guess what? You don’t get a pay increase! ACC already pays lower than competition as it is and they have the audacity to do this to their employees. It’s going to affect everyone and honestly I hope everyone just quits and finds something better for themselves. Forget about your work life balance and your mental health, ACC is engulfed by Blackstone’s inability to care about the people factor. I had to get on medication to deal with my job. Yet, they make several social media posts claiming they care about mental health. What a joke. Imagine working 60-70 hour weeks for 2 months straight with no OT and they “reward” you a pittance $2500 turn bonus. You have to deal with these students and their parents incredibly rude and unreasonable demands and because they bypassed the site level and contacted corporate directly, corporate instructs you to go against policy and your own integrity and beliefs to keep them quiet. Corporate Facilities is ran by a bunch of fake people who don’t actually come to help and train you. They fly these guys state to state for them to come around and waste time to chat and collect a paycheck before going home or to their next location to lay around. This company is such a bad company, please save yourself your health and do not work here. I’m so glad I left before the mass lay off, I just feel bad for my friends who had put several years into this company with promises of growth and opportunity only to get the shaft. It’s downright evil. Shame on you ACC.

Pros

25 cent cokes in the vending machines

Cons

The creative department works extremely long hours and weekends while the rest of the company works regular hours. way below market value pay. extremely poor management style (the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing) hemorrhaging money on non-focused marketing campaigns. not open to new ideas or cost effective strategies. cube farm. no recognition of above average work or ideas. basically, if this is a first job for you, you should be ok. If not, its one of the most inefficient and non-nurtuing environments possible for a creative professional.

Pros

Good benefits, generous PTO, and schedule flexibility (depending on your manager).

Cons

Notoriously underpays all employees, while continuously increasing all expectations. Any salary employee on-site should expect to work well beyond your “40-hour” week. Little to no recognition or praise for hard work or achievements in any department. Since Blackstone took over, we have watched the company values disappear, and have transitioned from “doing the right thing” to a “how much money can we make?” mindset. Blindsided all employees with nationwide layoffs, undeserved promotions and demotions all in one day, all in the name of restructure to “provide more clear paths for growth” by cutting job positions/titles, in turn making it much harder to grow - while the leaps between positions are much more drastic, will take longer to get there and require people to leave for you to even be considered. THEY DO NOT (AND WILL NOT) CARE.
