Pros
From my specific experience: - Work life balance - Insurance/Benefits - Strong salary offered relative to skillset and COL - Largely hands off management other than basic expectations such as office attendance
Cons
- Large variance team to team, so any description given here may not apply - Layoffs seem to be inevitable every few years - Job titles often don't match job duties, for example a hire for "Software Developer" may not have anything to do with the codebase - Limited or absent use of newer/desirable technology. Frequent use of internal tools (poor resume builder)
