Pros

Amdocs provides exposure to large, complex enterprise programs and global delivery environments. The work offers valuable experience in governance, compliance, and structured project execution, and the company name carries weight on a resume. Colleagues are generally capable and professional, and the organization offers stability from a business standpoint.

Cons

During my tenure, there was no clear or consistent timeline for career progression or promotion, even as responsibilities and scope expanded. Advancement often depended on organizational changes rather than performance. Additionally, frequent management changes created a lack of continuity in expectations, priorities, and development guidance. Having multiple managers over a relatively short period made it difficult to align on long-term growth, feedback, and accountability.

Pros

- You get to work with the most talented team - Unlimited PTO - Benefits

Cons

- Transitioned to only caring about numbers, which impacted teams and interactions with clients - No salary increases - Layoffs are constantly looming - If you make a mistake, a project fails, or do not sell new things to your client you will be in danger of being laid off - Feedback is based on team members and not direct leadership, making it difficult to align with what is actually needed from you and a strange culture - Working across multiple regions will have you answering to multiple bosses - Managers do not have your back but will actively seem to work against you versus offering support and help - Projects are sold at low discounts then teams are expected to make up the difference or cut corners - No real progression in roles, you'll only be promoted if your manager likes you enough
