Pros

Since Kenzan was acquired by a big company at least in Mexico employees get pretty good benefits and ok compensation.

Cons

Leadership is a joke. Management motivations seem always dubious. Their main project at least when I was an employee was boring and unchallenging.

Our teams are what make Kenzan great, and we’re here to serve our people. That’s why we take every effort to invite feedback and suggestions in an honest, safe, and varied environment: through weekly all-hands meetings with anonymous question/answer forums, book clubs on topics like radical candor, support for Kenzan managers, 1:1s with managers, quarterly satisfaction surveys of the entire organization, and an open door policy across the organization. Through these channels, we continue to gain insight into the challenges inherent in our work. Our team consistently self-reports that solving our clients’ evolving needs poses real-time challenges, requiring critical thinking and creativity to build the best-in-class software our clients expect. We sincerely regret that your experience under Kenzan’s leadership fell short in your eyes, and invite you to reach out directly with suggestions for how to improve the employee experience and make Kenzan an even better place for everyone. Our door is always open.

Pros

Mexico office is in a good location

Cons

Communication: Global Communication generates expectation with a lot of intentions are announced without any concrete action. Mexico office announcements falls in unnecessary explanations that sometimes look contradictory or illogical. In Mexico office there is kind of uncertaty and drama, there is always a bad employee, a company enemy, when the bad employee quits (not get fired) a new enemy rises. Job: Best practices are not followed and are considered as plus, so many times you will feel like a super bad developer. In Mexico office job role is fuzzy and leadership are not based on technical or management skills, Guadalajara direction looks more focused on selling the brand or selling company image (many times unreal) instead of increasing the knowledge or technical skill of employees.
