Good company, but low morale at the FCs

Pros

It's great to work for a company that you're also a customer for. It definitely creates a more fun working environment.

Cons

I worked at the Fulfillment Centers at Amazon.com. That being said, at the FCs, attrition is high and morale is low. This is probably because everyone works long hours, there is no AC in the warehouse, and also there is an intense focus on productivity rates. So in general most regular hourly workers seem quite depressed and robotic. This makes for a depressing work environment. As a result of this, there is frequent turnover among the staff.
