Pros

working with smart people and at scale nowhere else seen. having direct ownership and impact on customers certain level of freedom after a few years of service. relative ease of intra-company moves

Cons

too process-oriented in recent times. customer obsession is an afterthought nowadays. profits are the highest priority WLB is non-existent across levels.

Pros

Very focused at times and some cultural practices (e.g. clarity of thought expressed by writing). Very practical and good at incremental delivery

Cons

Jassy is uninspiring and dropped ball on AI so is trying to make it up by slashing costs and being actively hostile to employees (e.g. RTO5) and showing crappy slop AI outputs into inappropriate domains. Engineering excellence culture is mediocre overall
