Better off working for less somewhere else
Pros
Easy to hire-in. F/T work. OT if you want it.
Cons
No pay raises, HIGH stress & turnover, micromanaging to a fault, unreasonable goals and expectations, held accountable for customers who don't like the wireless signal strength they're getting, held accountable and coached because customers are angry when there is high call volume, held completely accountable for survey results that reflect solely the wireless carrier's service (not customer service, but literal service.. such as signal, dropped calls, not enough towers or degraded towers in area, etc.), perks to 'favorites' and who is sleeping with a manager, etc., work environment is ghetto and juvenile (EXAMPLE: floor support prancing around in stilettos and singing, snapping fingers), most who get off the phones and do floor support are friends (or more) with someone who has control over who gets assigned floor support, a lot of stealing, including food from refrigerator (in excess). The center where I worked forced us to work off the clock approx 15 minutes per day, and we were all told it was completely legal. We also had to clock out to use the restroom, resulting in several of us ending up with UTI's. I have NEVER had a job where morale was so incredibly low, bottomed out, with regards to 98% of the staff. And God help you if you have a hospitalization or medical leave and aren't eligible for FMLA.. because HR will terminate you and lie and say you quit to keep you from getting unemployment benefits. Mandatory OT came with a 50% reduction in lunch and/or short breaks. If a customer failed any portion of your survey, you were 'branded' with a piece of paper tacked on your cubicle with a black ace of spades, which most termed "the scarlet letter." Even if the failed portion of the survey was re the wireless carrier's coverage in their area or call volume we as agents have NO control over, we were held responsible, 'coached,' then branded for everyone to see. Have a college degree? Doesn't matter to this company, and your degree won't do you any good with this company. You won't get promoted, which is the ONLY way to get a raise, unless you're 'in' with someone, or sleeping with someone. Makes no difference if you're good at your job or not. This company isn't worth the time, and it could (and does) ruin people's health. If you HAVE to work there, look for another job while there... that's what 98% of their employees do anyway.
