Pros

Good training, good people who worked there, management was helpful and useful.

Cons

Once a month weekend work, most vacation time during holidays unable to be taken off due to lack of seniority, absolute focus on insured/claimant contact became a pain along with extreme high expectations. On the phone with pissed off drivers and just overall annoying people.

Pros

Strong name recognition which may help you when getting a job with another company. A good amount of vacation days, however sick time is included in them and you do not get the national holidays that most other employees get. We do get a company provided vehicle that we are able to use when not working, this is my favorite benefit of the job.

Cons

Senior management that has little respect for claims employees who are actually the heart of an insurance company as they are the ones dealing with the policyholders and settling the claims. The company recently changed adjusters from hourly to salaried employees with the exception of the state of CA. This really hurt claims adjusters as we are now often working 50+ hour work weeks and only being paid for 40.
