Pros

On the positive side, Allstate does offer great work life integration, but not balance. You can work remotely and take time off during the day when you need it. However, you still have to work a lot of total hours, you can just be more selective when you do it.

Cons

The titanic is sinking and everyone is scared and turf protecting instead of banding together to pull Allstate up. Every department has different goals and compete with one another.

Pros

Benefit package is solid. Vacation given is liberal compared to other companies. Pay is pretty good. You have the opportunity for a variety of assignment throughout your career.

Cons

Everyone is so paranoid about the possibility of being laid off that everyone is more concerned with how to save them self instead of working as a team. Productivity and innovation is suffering. Preservation is the key.
