Pros

Pay is decent and competitive, benefits pretty good comparatively. Could move around the company pretty easily, but usually a lateral move. Decent facilities, (small) free workout room, lactation rooms for new moms. Trying new programs to help with customer retention, but still need some work.

Cons

Lots of outsourcing going on in the company, so depending on your job, little security. Some members of management should not have been made management. Easier for men to advance than women. Lots of office gossip about employees, even by management.

Pros

Owning your own business. Good income potential with residual income from policies. The ability to run and operate your own business.

Cons

Allstate does not do enough for the newer agency owners. They don't care about their policy holders only their stock holders.
