Fine to get on your feet - Don't stay longer than you need to.

Pros

Very simple, with downtime for classwork and things like that. Allied Universal is also laid back relative to other unarmed security companies- They don't pretend we're cops, show up to work and they won't bother you.

Cons

Terrible pay with awful-to-nonexistent benefits: A few days of PTO, terrible insurance that takes a year to access, they don't even match 401k... These guys will hire [anyone] who can pass a drug test, which is a blessing and a curse.

if there's OT (meaning someone called out) there's a 99% chance they will make you do it, especially if you're a new hire
