      Pros

      I truly enjoyed working at Alcon. Everyone is friendly, helpful, and they seem to truly care about their colleagues. Additionally, the benefits are great and they promote work-life balance.

      Cons

      Some of management did not seem to understand or care to understand the work that their employees do. It was disappointing to see a manager give direction that did not make any sense.

      Pros

      I enjoyed the majority of my time working at Alcon. They offered good opportunities to learn on the job, provided decent salaries and more recently an improved work/life balance through, for example, flexi-time.

      Cons

      Now becoming a fully integrated division of Novartis, the work location needs to be carefully considered - some facilities are likely no longer a part of the longer-term strategy and significant numbers of positions are being moved to lower cost locations.
