It's like working with family. I was promoted within the company quite often . This company rewards hard work.

Cons

It was a twelve hour shift, so sometimes it was really challenging to be away from your family so much.

Cons

Novartis moving upper management into Alcon after acquisition. Micro management. Pipeline bare. Reps unsure about future and job security. Patent expiration and generic competition reduced profitability for company.

Pros

Skilled work force, lots of engineers that know what they're doing, very resourceful people that are typically helpful when you are seeking to rally a group.

Cons

The sale of the company to Novartis has ruined what was once a great place to be. Full time employee's are vocal about their distaste for the new Alcon, temps and contractors are simply treated like dirt now, overall quality workers from both areas are jumping ship and leaving voluntarily. Both the layoffs and guys simply quitting are both previously unheard of, its sad to see a once productive family environment disgraced by dimwitted strangers.
