      Pros

      -Great place to get medical device experience -Large company, but you still get to work with multiple departments -Very friendly and inviting culture

      Cons

      -Trying to implement many systems because they are now owned by Novartis, some of the new systems are irritating to work with. -Opportunities for growth do not come very often, there is a lot of horizontal movement but it takes a while to see some vertical movement with your career.

      Pros

      Competitive salary and bonus. Get your voice hear via coffee with senior management team meeting. Lesson and Learn after projects launch. Surgical instrumentations involve many engineering discipline, mechanical, electrical, electronic, software, quality, etc.

      Cons

      Used to be at the leading edge, Alcon was well known with the PTC community. Lots of politics. IT took over the MCAD group but doesn't know anything about CAD. Too many SOPs to satisfy FDA audits. CAD designers are many and under train.
