      Pros

      Alcon is still a good company to work for as far as health insurance and benefits go. I would no longer consider it a long term career choice like it used to be, but it can still be a fantastic stepping stone for career development or addition to the resume.

      Cons

      Has really gone downhill for over the past few years. It's definitely not the great company it used to be. The company used to feel like one big family, but has changed into a very typical corporate America cliche environment. The level of job security has decreased dramatically in many departments and will probably continue down that path for the next few years.

      Good pay. Good call point-optometry.

      Cons

      optometrists just say what you want to hear and want to be liked. Your happiness depends on your manager and what their style of management is.
