Poor leadership and communication
Lack of clear goals and feedback
Favoritism and discrimination
Little opportunity for professional growth
Working at Alcon has been a deeply frustrating experience, primarily due to ineffective leadership and a lack of transparency. The company's promises of continuous improvement and professional development feel hollow. Feedback, especially from senior leaders from US and AGS India, is often vague, unprofessional, and one-sided, with little regard for employees' perspectives.
Communication is poor, with important decisions being made behind closed doors and leaders playing favorites rather than focusing on merit. Clear goals and accountability are missing, which has resulted in a culture that rewards mediocrity and discourages real performance.
Despite repeated attempts to raise concerns and improve team dynamics, the leadership's focus remains on optics rather than real progress. Sadly, the environment fosters favoritism (if you a non-Bangalorean/kannada speaking good luck growing there) and a lack of respect for diverse perspectives. If you're looking for professional growth, transparency, and strong leadership, Alcon is not the place to be.
