Pros

Great 401K match, decent work/life balance, free contacts

Cons

Promote good salespeople into positions that are far outside their competency. Just because you can "sell" doesn't mean you can be a marketer. Literally, there are multiple marketing directors who don't understand basic marketing principles. Caring about the workforce is just lip service. The good talent has been leaving en mass. Pricing strategy will be the downfall of the organization. Commodity products at premium price points.

Pros

They have donations every year for united way in which you get special treatment for donating part of your paycheck. (Ex. Parking spot, a dinner, insurance.) They have an angel tree to help needy families which is nice for the community. Mostly ladies work here.

Cons

First off, this company struggles to find true leadership and direction. Manpower takes a little over a quarter of your paycheck, but woking at alcon gets worse everyday. No one (absolutely no one) is happy working here. The company values their employees, but do not value temporary employees; make it next to impossible for temps to get hired. (It takes 18 months before they consider hiring) The supervisors are power hungry. You stare through a microscope basically all day, which ends up hurting your eyes very bad. People that work here tend not to assume positive intent and simple questions turn into major escalations. Multiple layoffs and outsourcing. They use people and when they are done with you they are done. As a temp- they will keep you 18 months and then you are out! Last but not least, This company is about Quantity of workers, NOT Quality.
