Good Base for CV - Be Wary of Staying Long Term

Pros

Lots of scope to change career path (e.g. Engineering to Procurement, Finance to HR etc). Decent training available. Lots of opportunity to manage suppliers. Possibilites for relocation and travel are high. Good work-life balance. High job security. Good place to make friends.

Cons

Tasks and responsibilities can be quite tedious. Most technical tasks are outsourced to suppliers. Salaries are ok, but not great. Many employees appear to be cruising towards retirement, and are not passionate about solving problems or helping others. Some tools and practices are outdated. Other engineering companies offer roles where more can be achieved in a shorter time, with more modern technologies.
