Good company for a beginner but bad salary
Pros
- Integrate an airline company with strong culture - Be at the heart of a complex IT with interesting stuff - Some motivated engineers - Despite old technology, AF is more or less turned toward the future. - Reduced price on plane tickets (-30% from public ). - Valbonne site is very nice and has a nice view.
Cons
- Average age of staff is high. - Too much lazy people - When you work well, you're not awarded. Instead, you're being told that you have capacities so that's normal despite being paid less than your colleagues. Very not motivating for youngsters. - IT is not well considered and has a few power over the company - Bad carreer system for executives/cadres (N1 / N2 / N3) thought for airport and flying staff and not IT staff - Piloting staff has a strong lead in the company - A lot of inertia due to company size - Very bad governance with KLM creating a lot of stress - Salary is very low - Human resources insist a lot on "advantages" to compensiate low wage. But the advantages have melded like snow under the sun. Unless you're young and without constraint, ready to not board if plane is full, you won't travel for cheap - Too much unuseful managers - Very sensible to all world events: terrorism, COVID, concurrency - Poor carrier opportunities
