Pros

I have nothing positive to say.

Cons

I'm here to share with you the department I worked with. I got written up unjustly and my integrity has been thrown in the trash can. I just got fired today. A lot of favoritism. Managers don't seem to care about your performance.

Pros

Decent benefits and pay and the mission of the company is something I can get behind.

Cons

Toxic micromanaging leadership who doesn’t support or care about their employees. Little to no training and expected to make no mistakes. You are blamed for things that are out of your control. Work life balance is nonexistent. There are unhealthy expectations and favoritism.

Pros

The low acuity patient population

Cons

No accountability - there are no repercussions for poor job performance, attendance issues, refusing to do certain aspects of the job due to incompetence and not willing to learn but would rather avoid all together such as going to surgery or doing fluoroscopy exams, insubordination, milking the clock, not answering the phone when on call, etc. Employees and management lack work ethic - radiology exams that are ordered often sit for long periods of time while techs sit and chat, there is a severe lack of organization, if any at all. One employee frequently states that he does the bare minimum because he doesn't care. Lack of integrity for job quality - letting patients wait for exams, sending non-diagnostic imaging which means the patient may not receive a proper diagnosis due to poor quality x-rays that are either over exposed, under exposed, poorly positioned or anatomy completely clipped or cut off on the image and still turned in. No team work - it's every one for themselves. Don't get lunch breaks or breaks many days. Favoritism and cronyism in the radiology department. Can't retain good experienced staff due to poor working conditions. The benefits are the WORST I've ever had at any job I've had so far. You don't get bonuses, but you might get yet another adventhealth coffee mugs or water bottle. I would say I'd take the $5 it cost them for the water bottle, but after they tax it as a bonus at 27% you might end up owing them money.

Pros

AdventHealth has an exceptional network of physicians across a wide range of specialties, fostering strong clinical collaboration and professional learning opportunities. The organization uses EPIC, one of the most advanced electronic health record (EHR) systems, which dramatically enhances workflow efficiency, data accuracy, and communication between providers, staff, and patients. Leadership encourages the use of analytics and technology to improve patient outcomes and operational performance. The culture emphasizes mission-driven care, faith-based values, and whole-person health, creating a sense of shared purpose among team members. Remote and hybrid roles are well-structured, offering flexibility and access to excellent support resources, ongoing training, and enterprise-wide collaboration tools.

Cons

Unfortunately, internal politics and personal connections often outweigh talent, expertise, and measurable performance. Decision-making across departments can be inconsistent and heavily influenced by favoritism rather than merit or qualifications. While AdventHealth has strong compliance frameworks on paper, internal policies on salary structure, corrective actions, and promotions are inconsistently applied and enforced, leading to inequity and frustration among staff. There are also significant compliance risks across multiple areas, including coding and billing, clinical documentation integrity, and leadership decision-making, primarily due to underqualified leaders who lack an adequate understanding of employment law, CMS regulations, and compliance standards. These gaps create operational inefficiencies, expose the organization to potential audit findings, and erode employee trust. Despite the organization’s stated values, the reality within many departments is a disconnect between policy and practice.

Pros

It’s a great place to work if you are an Adventist.

Cons

If you are a self-motivated, high-performing, hard-working employee, AdventHealth may not be the right culture for you. There are no merit increases for staff. There are no performance-related bonus incentives for staff. Depending on your department’s leadership, even simple verbal recognition or appreciation can be sparse or non-existent. Healthcare benefits are expensive if you work at Corporate. Combine that with organizational pressure to produce more with less FTEs, a deeply entrenched culture of favoritism and nepotism, and a decision-making process that starts with the decision and then looks for evidence to support what was already decided.
