Pros

If you are looking for just the Money and not bothered where and what technology you are heading towards and if you have no goals and ambitions of opening your own firm or if you are not business minded.Accenture is THE BEST to work for long span of time and vice versa. The friendly atmosphere(lucky one as my colleagues are super good) Understandable managers and help you like a friend. I love to be in this company but look for cons... Accenture emphasis on Team work, the values and culture are so good that you feel great when you adhere to it as well when you break it..(just kidding) .It is well disciplined and superbly maintained ambience especially the response of a new guy in the recreation room. You can learn anything in the company including GAmes.your soft skills get polished as well as technical skills are given a go ahead. The training programs organised every quarter and boost you on the way you handle things.

Cons

Lets come to downsides: As a fresher,You dont get an oppurtunity to work in your area of interest.if you are interested in C,C++ or Device drivers, you can end up in Mainframe Recognition from the senior management is blind folded, you are not rewarded for the work done by you, instead it goes to your colleague who just managed to send the mail as if he has contributed. Little bit of biasing exists, vey little might be it exists in every company.

Pros

A good place to kick off an IT career after graduation and certainly a dog-eat-dog environment if that is your kind of thing. Best suited for people who are good at Sales - the Product is the inidvidual and their career aspirations - get Senior Manager to buy into that and you will be made for life

Cons

The performance rating system - you can never be sure until you are told your rating - it is unbelievable the amount of secrecy that surrounds the whole process.....

Pros

Name brand and if you fit in then you will probably go on higher. There are two section ATS and Consulting senior management is always from consulting.

Cons

work life balance is only on projects that have an agreement with the client of paying by the day not by the hour. In that case, what happens is that managers push for "work life balance" which means you go home at normal time and then work will have to be done in more days. Other projects are standard consulting /IBANking long hours. In addition, when you are trying to find a project you are looking for a job again. You have to send ppl resumes. Managers won't call you back unless there is something in it for them. The scheduling team has no clue whats going on. You get given projects which you have to take on as a graduate software engineer and then if you have done testing you get type cast in testing. Then if you go for a development role, the managers or TL from accenture will say you don't have developement experience !!! after a year. ! A friend of mine who had done a masters in electronics worked for months as an admin on project for senior managers. He was hired as a Software Engineer. He used to get laptops and security badges for them!. He was given bad reviews that he doesn't take initiative( maybe didn't get a security card fast enough) and eventually made to leave within the year. Accenture hires alot of graduates but fires alot too.
