Pros

The people I worked with on the consulting front were true leaders, smart, ambitious and hardworking. For the most part, they are people I would want to associate with in a professional setting and outside.

Cons

Experience is driven by the leadership team for each engagement. If you're with a poor leader you are stuck for several months but the flipside is it isn't forever and change comes quick.

Pros

Good client base, interesting work, has a weath of knowledge capital and great resources available within the firm. The overall leadership is very good at reorganising the business to meet client and market changes and stay competitive.

Cons

It has become too large and does not treat its people or develop them as well as it used to. It has lost its sense of being within the firms employees. Certainly within the UK for many resources it is easy to forget who you work for as it often feels like you are working for the client. There is a lack of developing core skills within the area you are aligned, almost all skills are obtained 'on the job'.

Pros

There is always opportunity to do more. Clients are demanding and internal development is even more so. Compensation is usually competitive and if you commit to the company's core values, there are a multitude of career opportunities.

Cons

While billed as a meritocracy. The reality is merit + marketing + luck. It is important to network within the company to move up the ranks. Experienced hires beware, unless you are a shrewd negotiator, you will be positioned well behind your peers in pay and promotion readiness.
