Pros

The recently created ACG is large pool of analysts who are able to work across industries and clients in order to develop individual preferences. This system is very slack and gives analysts a good opportunity to go unaccounted for. Although this is not in your benefit in the long term it can suit if you only plan to use Accenture as a stepping stone.

Cons

Accenture senior leadership have a reputation within the company as being very reactionary. The culture is perceived to be ‘up and out’ according to the performance of the individual however it has proven to be the case that Accenture only (over) react to market conditions by promoting large numbers (regardless of performance) in the good times and failing to recognise the top performers during the bad times. Your career progression is a lottery dependant on the time you joined and the economic conditions during your eye milestones periods.

Pros

Worldwide leading consulting firm with diversity and existence in most country worldwide. Involvement in various industry given you an opportunity to have a broad industry knowledge or if you choose to be specialised in a specific area. Great knowledge sharing platform with excellent peer and experience higher management. Considering a relative young existence in the consulting industry (after Anderson consulting) and the global standing, Accenture is one of the most recognizable management and IT consulting firm globally. One of the best company in providing training and developing people.

Cons

It can be competitive and you must fight your way up or you are out. With a strong will and spirit, surely you can turn this downside to a motivational and positive push in your career. Once specialised in a specific area and repetitive work tends to be boring. Again, its versatility allows you to explore some other things, provided business opportunities are there at the right time.
