Pros

Accenture is a great place to start off in the work world. The differing experiences, soft skills and hard skills that you gain in your time at Accenture will not compare with what you get elsewhere, both corporate and consulting. When I look around, my 7+ years in consulting have given me the knowledge and skills to compare me to others in work place that have been working for 20+ years.

Cons

The travel is something you will either love or hate and at some point in your career (i.e. when you start a family), you will have to ask yourself if that is the lifestyle you want to continue to lead. (Don't get me wrong, I love the miles and points.)

Pros

Excellent Career for both short and long term. Accelerated learning and career advancement for those who work hard and understand the bigger picture and strive to do bigger and better things everyday.

Cons

Not for everyone. Work life balance can be achieved but requires you to understand when it's time to dig in and get things done. Compensation will be enough to satiate you but not enough to keep you from looking for greener grass. You work here for the challenges and for the people.

Pros

great learning experience> develop knowledge on wide range of industries & business processes in short timeframe; develop valuable skills for rest of career (analysis, presentations etc)

Cons

need to avoid the multiyear implementation projects and ensure to be on smaller, shorter projects which often offer a more interesting learning opportunity due to more variety, intellectual challenge and client interaction
