Pros

Decent growth for those in functional roles, and new developers have plenty of opportunities to learn across different areas (more on that below). The salary is above average, which is a nice plus.

Cons

Upper management doesn’t have any tech background, so new joiners are basically thrown into the deep end and expected to handle all the technical stuff on their own. There’s zero standard for how code should be written, so every project ends up being a mess of bad, inconsistent code because no one’s following the same practices. Most projects are in pretty rough shape, and it’s not uncommon to be working overtime until 2am or later.
