Pros
Annual policy implementations helped increase overall benefits, despite many of these benefits already being behind the curve for the standard employer, but not necessarily retail.
Cons
Rolling layoffs that have been happening for years and inconsistent leadership led to lack of direction and overall decline in culture. It feels like the company was taking steps forward just to take more backward. The company doesn’t want to/can’t afford to implement the technology and systems needed to push the company into the new wave of retail. There is a lot of red tape and decision making happens very slowly. Majority of the people who work at corporate and make the decisions for the stores have zero store experience and are therefore, making decisions that are not best doe the customer, stores and company. It depends on your leader, but ultimately, the culture is all in office, which is fine until the leaders enforcing these rules are the same ones who break them.
