managment pay gossip (goes with managment)- managers treat employees as replaceable rather than assets to the team.

Overall I had a great experience with Academy.

The pros of working for this company is that there really is room for advancement when you put in the time and good work effort.

Cons

The only down side to working for the company was the hours, but its what to expect with any retail position.

-Work around school Schedule -Co workers are nice -Advancement opportunites -Discounts 20-25% -Gift cards for customer service -Free lucn on specail occasions

Cons

Where do I start..... -Late hours.....close at 10 and you could be there till midnight -Have to come in at 5 AM to do frieght -The raises SUCK. I have been there for 4 years and have gotten a .95 cent raise all together -Point system...If you have a doctors note for not being able to make it, you still get points -Uniforms -No benefits for PT -Gets really busy during afternoon -You cant take off during christmas and tax weekend -Finding nasty things in fitting rooms -Some people work really slow so you have to end up helping them - managers may take thier time to walk your department.....
