It's OK...Better than most retail gigs from my understanding!!!

There is an overall fun, somewhat pleasant atmosphere, even with the managers around. There is only one extremely friendly team lead, but her attitude makes up for the lack the rest of the leads have. Customers (85%) are pretty friendly when u greet them with a smile and a little wit.

Cons

Not stimulating in the least. I have been there a week and am bored out of my mind. The pay is always gonna b a con when you're at the bottom of a corporation. They will definitely burn you out on hours.

Pros

The management was excellent and very helpful. My supervising manager and Team Leads were very willing to work around my school schedule. Academy also provides tuition reimbursement for employees after six months and they had an easy online tool to request time off and to keep track of paychecks. I was always treated with respect by my superiors.

Cons

With most retail jobs, patience for troublesome costumers run thin, especially during high volume days. During Tax-Free Weekend, Labor Day, and other shopping holidays, the closing team is likely to be there past midnight cleaning up. Co-workers varied in reliability.
