It is almost impossible to have a set time off for our delivery/install fleet. Some stops can be smooth and quick and others can take a couple of hours depending what issues they run into. Bottom line we try not to leave our customers until the job is done and make sure they are taken care of. We are an extremely busy store and it is no secret our drivers work long hours. It is brought up in the interview process on several occasions and as you mentioned the pay is good. Most of our drivers are happy with the overtime pay versus the alternative.

Abt chose to stay open during the pandemic to support our community with essential goods and allow our employees a chance to support their families. Whoever decided to stay on was grateful they were able to do this throughout those tough times. During the pandemic, we were extremely overrun with staffing issues, supply chain, and an overwhelming demand for certain essential goods. Most stores were shut down and not doing in-home deliveries and we were happy to have gotten the job done together with our staff. In fact, most of our crew was happy with the extra OT pay, extra bonus pay, and grateful to be able to help out our customers. The brothers worked side by side with their father (Abt Sr.) for many years and nothing has changed since his passing.
