Pros

9/80 schedule. Remote/hybrid work opportunities. Free snacks in the cafeteria. Laid back and friendly work environment (usually). Hours are limited by the contract and overtime is rare.

Cons

When the Denver office was still known as Syncroness, I would have had a hard time coming up with any cons. I would tell everyone how wonderful this place was. Syncroness was a small design engineering company where it really did feel like every employee mattered. If engineers were in between contracts, they were able to spend time collaborating with coworkers, catch up on training, or participate in professional development activities. This expectation of job security was one of the many reasons I decided to work at Syncroness. In 2022, that all changed when Syncroness merged with ALTEN Technology USA. All engineers, even those that are full-time ALTEN employees, are now treated as disposable liabilities and will be let go as soon as there is not enough contract work. Any illusion of job security completely evaporated. I get that businesses exist to make money, but employees also deserve to be treated with respect, no matter the title or rank. ALTEN does not handle layoffs with any sort of empathy, fairness, or transparency. If you are looking for a career in HR, IT, management, or sales, this place would probably be an okay place to work. I can no longer recommend working here as an engineer. Other Cons Salary is far lower and benefits are bare minimum of what is typically offered at a comparably-sized engineering company. Little to no career advancement or professional development opportunities. No annual bonuses. Small annual salary increases. No transparency about the health or direction of the business. Upper management will continually say how amazing everything is when it really isn’t. Payroll department is inconsistent. I often found errors on my paystub, either from overpayments or incorrect taxes or premiums being deducted from my paycheck.

Pros

Not much contact with the company itself.

Cons

They betray their own employes. Manager líes to consultants in conditions. We agreed to some terms that at the end we're "verbal" agreements. Waste of time. Pd.: trash project

Cons

- low base pay - poor senior leadership - bonus is obliterated by any consultants you have on the bench. - long hours - poor work from home policy - misalignment between directors and managing director - constant churn of employees which has impacted performance - low quality at senior manager level - communication is held back until the last minute in many cases
