It is unfortunate that your employment experience at ALS was not as we endeavor it to be. It is true that we are a seasonal business and have spikes in our workload for a portion of the year which may increase the pressure employees experience . However we are always looking at ways to improve and will take your comments under consideration.

Pros

I worked full time on a 9 to 9, 4 on 4 off shift. It’s a fast paced environment which requires you to work quickly and efficiently. You don’t need much experience at all they train you in everything and the work is relatively easy but repetitive which is expected as in any other food testing company. In my opinion it’s a great place to start if your looking to gain experience learn about GMP,GLP and microbiology techniques.The lab managers and section heads are really supportive and approchable.

Cons

Limited progression. Some of the team leaders cannot handle pressure.
