Flexible scheduling, they will make adjustment to your work schedule if you inform them of a change early enough. Fun co-workers, we did quite a few team building events such as movies, rock climbing, local city events. A lot of freedom of how to get your work done in the allotted time.

Cons

Poor communication between management and staff even staff supervisors. Unrealistic expectations, sometimes the management gave deadlines they were completely unreasonable with no overtime to finish the work. A lot of trying to cut cost on little things which turn into major problems. Very limited advancement in career, I was told that I had capped out how far I could advance after about 3 years of working there. Senior management doesn't seem to value employees a fellow employee of 3 years was told they could be easily replaced by any one walking down the street.

We appreciate your feedback and are disappointed to hear that your work experience at ALS was not consistent with the environment that we strive to create. We continue to focus on local workplace culture, retention and employee appreciation. Your comments will be shared with local site management with the aim of making continual improvements in this area. Already, we have developed an employee retention strategy for 2018 , while it was not in place while you were with ALS hopefully future employees will see improvements from the changes we are implementing.

work with some nice people, gives lab experience, a bridge between university and a career.

Cons

You feel like you work in a slave ship/factory, yelled at for minor things, made to stand for 12 hrs.
