An ever evolving work place within a global, market leading company that is committed to developing those that can work to or enjoy working to company core values. A fully supportive management team that is open to continuous improvement, particularly in terms of staff development. Working to UKAS 17025 standards and ALS Global procedures. Lots to learn and fast paced productive environment. If you like to be challenged and want to develop laboratory skills then my advice is give it a go. Promotions are internal based, all staff are encouraged to apply and progression review is held at least annually. ALS also offer an advantage scheme where discounts from high street stores etc can be used.

Cons

This is not the job for everyone. Hard work, commitment and self motivation are essential to progress. To begin with tasks can be repetitive and include cleaning, manual handling and basic tasks. As the laboratory is a commercial testing facility productivity certainly plays a part in roles at ALS Global Food UK.
