Pros

- Fantastic and affable team, including management. - Good social opportunities such as meals and nights out. - Well supported through training. - Lots of scope to develop as a scientist.

Cons

- The work could be quite monotonous. - The hierarchy was poorly outlined which led to junior employees getting a little 'big for their boots.'

We appreciate your feedback. It is re-assuring to hear that you find ALS is a great company to work for. However, we are troubled to hear that you feel management is making promises that they don’t keep. At ALS, it is an important value that we follow through on our commitments. While there may be the occasional time it is not possible to do so due to changing circumstances, employees should be provided with an explanation if this should happen. It is difficult for us to take corrective action on this without having more information. If you feel comfortable, we would welcome having any additional insights you would be willing to share. You can always contact your HR Representative or make a report on our integrity hotline.

Pros

Thorough training and co-workers generally willing to help you.

Cons

Low pay. Monotonous work. Slow skills and career progression. By production line work I mean I was put to work on one station all day every day - like everyone else. Management (esp hiring mgr) spun their words to make things more attractive but after I started I quit as soon as possible.
