Pros

Ability to work with team members around the world, either through passion projects or regular interaction on the different WhatApp channels used internally. Was able to transition from a national role into an HQ position, which i have appreciated a lot. It gave me extra responsibilities to work with colleagues on the international stage. I am able to work remotely and my boss is very flexible and understanding.

Cons

Interview process can't feel long at times but it's worthy it in the end when you are hired

Pros

Organization has a terrific vision and impact, with talented people dedicated to their jobs.

Cons

As an unpaid intern you expect to be compensated in experience and knowledge, but what you end up with is only what you can gather yourself. Apart from the printed list of weekly tasks, no time is spent guiding or integrating interns into the actual work that is done in international development and humanitarian aid. If anything you will only develop mild skills in excel.
