Pros

Management team is composed of mature, experienced, open communicators who provide a lot of independence to employees. All interaction with the executive team has been remarkably natural, without the posturing and positional power-plays I've experienced elsewhere. With the exception of a couple of conspicuous duds, fellow employees are very professional, helpful, hard working, and solid team participants. Company's product technology and engineering capabilities are top notch.

Cons

It sometimes feels as though various elements of divisional and corporate management are not well aligned in their priorities and expectations. Cooperation between business units could be stronger. Employee coaching and career planning could be more active and transparent.

ABB is no longer a healthy place to work.

Pros

There are still few teams that uphold the ABB values and maintain professionalism and respect towards each other.

Cons

HR will turn a blind eye towards complaints, feedbacks and patterns. Pay is not enough to go through this negativity on the daily basis. Please avoid joining if you don't want to loose your mental peace and happiness.

Pros

Big company with multiple business lines and operates in multiple countries. Opportunity for movement. Very DEI focused.

Cons

Very DEI focused (yes, it can be both a pro and a con). Promotions seem more based on optics than capabilities. Poor internal communication and processes. Lack of agreement of goals between global and regional leadership. Overall business line leaders in some cases have very limited experience (e.g. Sales, even though they manage the entire P&L) and can't/don't appreciate what else is going on.
