Two families, one company: founded over 120 years ago by engineer Carl Miele and businessman Reinhard Zinkann, with 11 employees, 4 lathes and a drilling machine, Miele and Zinkann launched their first cream separators and butter machines in 1899 in Herzebrock, Germany.
Miele remains a family company, belonging exclusively to direct descendants of the Zinkann and Miele family. Our guiding principle, “Immer Besser”, which we translate as “Forever Better”, still shapes the company today.
From our home in Germany, we’ve grown to have our own presence in almost 50 countries / regions, and we’re present in another 50 markets with help from our importers. We’re a truly global-thinking organisation.
