Lojas Renner doesn't just sell clothes, it sells a lifestyle. A top department store chain in Brazil, Lojas Renner sells apparel, sporting goods, cosmetics, and other items through about 140 stores. The company offers its own private-label and third-party-branded merchandise consistent with a stylish, youngish, and professional lifestyle. The retailer also offers financial services, including its own credit card, personal loans, and annuities. Originally part of a textile company operated by the Renner family, the first Renner department store was established in 1940. In 2011 Lojas Renner acquired rival Maxmix Comercial, owner of about 30 Camicado stores, in a deal valued at $101 million.
