Upon joining the call, the HM jumped right into the hypothetical research scenario and asked me to talk out loud about how I'd go about it. As absurd as the scenario was, the HM didn't take any time and effort to know about me as a researcher. I knew I wasn't going to move forward, but the worst part was getting the rejection email on Sat evening when I was enjoying dinner outside with lovely friends. So many red flags.
