One manager asked me "Can you manage in this culture?" I asked him, "what do you mean?" He said, "You know, its mostly people from a different background, mostly white" I was shocked, since I am from a different ethnic background. (brown). Mostly related to the position itself and questions about how certain situations should be handled and past professional experiences.
They are a UX consulting firm so the UX manager role needs to be able to effectively manage projects, product budgets and timelines. There was a lot of emphasis on project management, not so much about UX management.
