Asked how I manage multiple tasks. Along with trying to understand my past experience(s).
Q: Tell me about a time you improved upon a process. Q: What would you consider to be your strengths / opportunities for growth?
They asked about my experience, and my thought process behind some of my examples. The data points I use to inform my decisions, how I manage a team and my approach to scenarios. How I work cross functionally with other teams, etc.
Name a skill you needed to develop and how did you do that.
What do you think is important in teamwork? What can you contribute to a team?
What is your opinion on Crypto pump and Dump servers, what policy (if any) should Discord take against these servers.
Why do you want to work at Discord?
The inherent structure of Discord is one where you have to opt-in to communications — you have to accept a friend requests or share a server with a user for them to DM you. This prevents a lot of harassment, and for the harassment that does happen, Discord offers a lot of self-moderation tools, including blocking users and server moderation levels. Because of this, we may respond to a lot of reports of harassment (‘he called me a bad word!’) by saying ‘please block that user’. However, when should Discord take action on users reported for harassment? If a user only messages once but it’s incredibly offensive, is that sufficient? How severe should the activity be for us to take action on the user, and how do we measure severity?
