The whole process felt to me that it was one sided, as if the engagement may have been more about gather potential approaches from a range of candidates without any mutual investment or engagement in return. It felt all about the problem, nothing about the candidates experience.

Questions abou my professional experience and a small code challenge. "A coding challenge for you to demonstrate your coding skills in Python. Optimal efficiency, minimum memory consumption, good testing, and a clean coding style are all important criteria to keep in mind."

The questions spans both hardware and software topics. Each interviewer asked about a topic that they are strong in: C, C++, Python, ASIC designs, system architecture and timing analysis. Most engineers would be strong in either software or hardware design. Luckily I have done both and I have been a System Engineer for a while and was exposed to all of those topics.
