They asked me to rate myself on SQL proficiency. I said 5 out of 5. Only question was how does a left join work. Assessment test was designed to trip you up, but once I realized that it wasn't too tough, but still took over an hour.

30 mins call with a recruiter - basic questions on your background, experiences with cloud providers and programming languages. 45 mins call with the Hiring Manager - my understanding is that this step varies based on the HM. There are HMs who look just if you have data engineering experiences and others that also evaluate your sales acumen. Question asked: experience with Databrickcs, Big Data and Data Science.
Past projects, how is scope and estimation done and which is the most challenging project in my career.
