The questions were more technical than I expected for an initial phone screening. Since this company operates somewhat like a startup, it was understandable. Most of the questions I got asked were how electronic components would behave in space (resistors, capacitors, inductors, batteries). I also got asked how you would protect these components in space. Basic answers didn't seem enough to the engineer that was interviewing. Definitely needed to go into more detail. I applied to a reliability role but got asked mostly electronics questions. The interviewer did specify that in this company you wear many hats as an engineer. A reliability engineer also has to be knowledgeable with electrical and mechanical engineer. Something to keep in mind when you have an interview for them.
