A lot of the questions were the standard job related questions, I have a unique background in that a lot of the services they offer I have learned early in my career and managed quite successfully, that type of background is rare amongst sales reps because most sales people take orders and move on and want repeat business, but in the marketing arena there is a ton of management on each and every project since you rarely get repeat type of business and you have to stay engaged from cradle to grave to see a project through. Once I started talking about that experience that I managed as a salesman throughout my career and is one of the biggest challenges for any Mfg plant to offer to customers, that's why packaging brokers usually get that type of business, the questions about that type of service stopped and I started to get technical questions about machinery, now if I was applying for a machine operator position this is a 100% valid question, but I am applying for purchasing and I can manage 3rd party outsourced jobs that are sent out all days long. I was left with you have the right attitude, which upon hearing that meant you really want to hire somebody that you can direct, not someone that can enhance. See part of enhancement is streamlining processes and eliminating internal mistakes or oversights which I did all day everyday on my decisions as well as manufacturer's decisions so delays or issues were avoided or at least manageable as to not let a customer down. Having someone to direct is to tell them the issue and just fix it and continue to fix issues and its not your concern on how the issue was created only that it needs to be fixed and we move on, no questions asked.
