I was asked several times about the customers that I have had and what I had done to exceed their expectations...when in my sophomore year of college I hadn't had any customers other than when I was a waitress several years earlier. When I explained that, the interviewer asked that I recall an experience from that time even though it was over 5 years prior.
We related my job skills to the position so never made it past that part as i didn't realize very much hardware related, but still great interview..
