Since this was a leadership role, questions were more around understanding my leadership philosophy, and ideas for improvement across product and process. Task round involved a well-defined design problem to be solved.
The 1:1 interviews were divided into five focus areas: leadership, managing growth, collaboration, execution, and an exercise (they presented a problem and I had to walk through a detailed project plan). All interview questions (aside from the exercise) were behavioral. "Give me an example of X" or "Tell me about a time when X happened"
Management style, UX process, Behavioural questions etc.
What is the importance of design? How many direct reports do you have in your current position? What questions do you have for me?
How do you align stakeholders to a project when there is little to no ROI.
Have you ever been in a situation where you didn't agree with the direction? How did you react?
Basic interview questions were asked of me.
They asked for my resume.
I wouldn't say there were any difficult or unexpected questions. If you're experienced, you should be able to field the questions.
