Mostly on GIS or Geo spatial - Free text searching, Navigation, Map rendering - Cloud experience - Machine learning, Algorithms - Team leading experience - No specific language questions like c++ or anythings (They are very open to use any specific language) - They need the best product (so you have to use right programming language for the right job)

It's not hard, but it could take some time if you've never worked on that kind of algorithm before. The question is made more difficult by only providing the image aspect ratio and not the image dimensions.

During the live code challenge in the face to face interview, the environment is not connected to the internet. This seemed a bit pointless as most programmers live on git repos, stack overflow and developer blogs and don't re-invent the wheel on a daily basis. Also, there was the implication that a working solution would be desirable over a complex design that did not provide the solution at the end of the time period (25 mins)
