They only know security part of the application. No real or tough java questions, because they are new to java. they did not mention web application security in their job description. But in the interview, they are asking only security for the java developer.

Mostly, they ask you about concepts of Java programming, like how to protect a set of transactions that need to happen together and fail gracefully otherwise (no incomplete operation). They also ask you about your implementation, why not this or that alternative, etc.
